One of the necessary changes is to mandatory inclusion of jan lokpal in the doctors IMC disciplinary committee. Otherwise it will be a pally pally club where mistakes are forgiven or forgotten.

Ninety percent people pay bribes to get their shoddy deals. In medical colleges too this is is happening. There is no system to select only on pure merit.Everybody wants quick money. It is(bribing) spreading like cancer in the society. Major surgery is required. Punish both bribe fivers and takers. Punishment should be quick and severe.

May be the MBBS degrees by law should carry the subscript M or C- merit or capitation seat, so that patients can decide to go to the particular doctor. It may affect Meritorious capitation fee doctors, that is acceptable collateral damage.

There is corruption in every department. If only one has to go and inspect with a lense, there is plenty of corruption every government department. Education, medicine, real-estate, police, politicians. This is all very common in India. Congress and BJP together protect this corruption. How much anyone shouts and yells, nothing changes much. http://sites.google.com/site/lightstarindia/front-page

Ofcourse there is corruption everywhere. But it is no solace for you or me as patients whose life is at stake by below standard doctors providing health care. Why do you think all these B****y politicians, including the ones who run many of the medical colleges, want to get medical attention abroad?
