Heartening drive by police to bring order to city traffic

It is heartening to see that countless written complaints and zillions of curses on the lawless traffic conditions in Bangalore has finally started paying off.
Kudos to the police for making their presence felt. The move should become a permanent part of Bangalore's culture.
Any city's image and perception is reflected first in its traffic.
As a global city Bangalore needs to quickly get its act together. Certainly it is not by changing BIAL's name to Kempgegowda Airport and emphasizing the provincialness of the town.
