Excellent advise, valid if the VIPs and politicians paid heed. Unfortunately they make others pay with their lives. Pilots are experts in the air, and as such should be respected for their opinions like doctor or lawyers.
Consequences of ignoring or over ruling is just lives- a tragic waste.
