Supreme courts seemingly simple significant questions

We should be celebrating the role the supreme court and judiciary are playing at various levels. These seemingly simple questions are an evidence that uphold the grandeur and majesty of law.
They get to the root of the corruption and failing political system that this country is presently facing. For the minority 30 percent literate these Online newspaper columns provide most powerful platform for global show casing our approach and attitude. Instead of using to make a significant difference in the present and future we are trivializing and mocking the issues with inanities. Unfortunate indeed. We should put this tool to a better use than what we are doing.

absolutely no call to scuttle a leaky vessel.

There is absolutely no need to scuttle a leaking vessel.
It will sink on its own. Citizens have been disappointed by a dud cracker!
Now it looks more and more that tainted were trying to cleanse their past with a dip in the ravelgaon siddhi ganga.

no honor being jailed in post independence India

Growing up in newly independent India we could not understand why elders were gushing about those who went to jail pre independence. As we grew we understood it was something honorable.
Now post independent India going to Jail is reprehensible and deplorable. Except for those sycophants and party dependent on BSY for existence. Whether these culprits are eventually found not guilty, the stigma remains with the party and the accused for ever in History.

One of the necessary changes is to mandatory inclusion of jan lokpal in the doctors IMC disciplinary committee. Otherwise it will be a pally pally club where mistakes are forgiven or forgotten.

Ninety percent people pay bribes to get their shoddy deals. In medical colleges too this is is happening. There is no system to select only on pure merit.Everybody wants quick money. It is(bribing) spreading like cancer in the society. Major surgery is required. Punish both bribe fivers and takers. Punishment should be quick and severe.

May be the MBBS degrees by law should carry the subscript M or C- merit or capitation seat, so that patients can decide to go to the particular doctor. It may affect Meritorious capitation fee doctors, that is acceptable collateral damage.

There is corruption in every department. If only one has to go and inspect with a lense, there is plenty of corruption every government department. Education, medicine, real-estate, police, politicians. This is all very common in India. Congress and BJP together protect this corruption. How much anyone shouts and yells, nothing changes much. http://sites.google.com/site/lightstarindia/front-page

Ofcourse there is corruption everywhere. But it is no solace for you or me as patients whose life is at stake by below standard doctors providing health care. Why do you think all these B****y politicians, including the ones who run many of the medical colleges, want to get medical attention abroad?

greatest Indian freedom- Gall of the guilty

One has to admire the gall of the guilty in this country of ours. Even the most obviously guilty have the freedom in India to shamelessly claim on visual media, they are not guilty as if the public is the court. They know very well the courts throw out the cases for flimsiest of reasons. We should have jury trials.

Roger Msg received Congress is guilty

On: 26 Oct 2011 08:09 am

Non polticial Indians know Kejriwal is right. Targetting complainants is standard long established unquestioned knee jerk reaction of congress. While it may dissuade some detractors, the Congress PR machinery should be aware of the message it broadcasts. Congress is guilty.

ban honking,save hearing.

Daily at 4-5am,10-11 pm long distance buses stop at mahalakshmi layout entrance witha long blast of air horn announcing each arrival and departure. All htvs, commercial vehicles have been fitted with illegal air, musical horns which are liberally used with impunity. They should be immediately banned. Each horn spot condemned, crucified by driving a screwdriver through the diaphragm. , manufacturers and dealers, owners, drivers severely penalized. because 1. each honk irrepairably destroys8000 peoples hearing and produces psychological problems. It violates cmv,epa and supreme court mandates 24/7. Exposes the enforcement authorities like yourself to contempt of court proceedings. It encourages over confident, aggressive reckless, selfish driving.
last but not least is a global sign of a barbaric uncivilized society.

corruption eva jayate

As usual, Very very short lived Anna Hazare effects! We should change our national slogan to corruption eva jayate

our rulers commendable foresight!

the foresight of our rulers is to be applauded indeed! When basic civic facilities for honest citizens are not available, they have already set aside A/C cells with attached toilets, color TV and cable. What are the qualifications for undertrials and criminals for this super deluxe accommodation?

weed out bogus cards exercise worth the while?

The senior source at FCS is overtly undermining the authority of the State Chief Minister in favor of Smt Karandlaje by claiming it costs state 1800 crores annually. Particularly since it has not pointed out what
efforts were taken all these years to allow the bogus cards to be issued mainly due to corruption from within. Allowed toreach this size.
or what was done to prevent well known diversion of domestic LPG to Commercial establishments and Vehicular use.
The Consumers demand to know from the same source of preferably the novice minister, the exact number of proven illegal connections disconnected and rupee value of
this exercise so they can judge for themselves whether this time and effort were cost effective. The deparmtent or the minister should not
have any difficulty justifying it-hopefully without cooking up the figures- if they went about it with clear conscience.

BM be a socially responsible medium

BM's readers are entitled to presume that it is a socially responsible, forward thinking, myth and blind faith busting public educational 22 century medium in an technologically advanced potential super power.
"According to astrologer ---Yeddyurappa’s jail stay temporary --emerge victorious ...so that --- jail stay ---cut short, chara lagna , CM did not stay in the prison for long and came out of custody in no time, chara lagna favoured him profile clientele includes BSY, Katta Subramanya Naidu and Ess Enn Krishnaiah Setty,(saade saathi" etc amounts to promoting sorcery and witch craft by guilty crooks and criminals. "
What is more such reports without suitable rational warnings as given in alternate medicine, in this myth and blind faith ridden society amounts to misinformation which may not be your purpose at all?
There is no need to overemphasize the pathetic, crooked scofflaw leaders we have.
While your purpose may be to illustrate the anachronistic political leadership we have , it ends up cutting a shameful picture of a silicon city in the global village since your readership is not limited to 800 square kilometers.

contempt of court-doubtful danda

In this corrupt bureaucracy and elected representatives caucus, public has to look towards judiciary. However they are not still certain that there are no wheels within wheels, when "strange illogical, biased" orders that "seem" to favor high and mighty appear regularly. Innumerable instances galore, where judges themselves have knowingly violated law seriously eroding public faith in judiciary. Under these ground realities, it is for the judiciary to prove that they are beyond reproach. When Sirajuddin Basha rightly or wrongly was apprehensive about Justice Patil- was he in any way involved with any of the parties?- it would have been more appropriate to just transfer it to another judge, instead of waving the doubtful danda of contempt of court.

satyameva jayate political slogan!

In the fight for truth there is just a Pass or Fail grade. Satyam eva jayate, is not a mantra to be vomited on call, by corrupt politicians to cleanse their souls & karmas. It is a never ending trek on a knife's edge. The real test for a satyavanta is when he has the guts to tell the truth & lose the site. Janardhan swamy US techie failed.

Landmark judgements come in small print, not banner headlines

Landmark judgements contrary to popular belief come in small print, not banner headlines.
Anna ripple effect seems to have reached all shores. The words of Honorable Justices N kumar and Arvind kumar
"wrong signals .....that courts are protecting the corrupt. ..... it is this institution ....the last hope for the common man ....shouting from the rooftop against corruption"
is truly music to the suffering citizens ears.
The same logic should be extended to the stay in HDK case also to prove transparency.
India will truly have reached global standards of justice and accountability if the responsibility for orders in obvious violations
existing laws is squarely placed on the judge's shoulders.

whither quality Doctor?

This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Once the basic seat is sold off to the highest bidder -patients dont even kid yourself that quality does not suffer. Quality is the first victim.
Then ofcourse the pressures of passing the exams since the entry was at the cost of merit.
Examinations are also on sale.
One shivers to think of getting medical aid in this scenario.
May be the degrees should be qualified by Dr M(Merit) and Dr C- capitation- to warn the patients.
Having an all India exam hardly makes a difference thanks to corrupt MCI. Let us not even for a second forget the monster DR Ketan Desai who sold MCI recognition.
